Night time scratches...

There are usually two days out of the week that my two full time jobs require me to work all day with no pony time. But this means I get to sneak in the barn and read my horse a bedtime story before I tuck her in. Special things happen at night. The crickets sing and the wind blows it's beautiful florida breeze and you forget all your low points of the day. You actually have the time to scratch your horse on the withers while they sway and bend to help you find the right spot. This is the time for you and your horse to not have to worry about shoulder ins or time faults. It's you two and the night. Tonight is one of those nights and I am writing directly from my horses stall because I don't want to make a mistake when explaining this magical moment. Right now nix has her head wrapped around me with apple guts dripping from her mouth and my hands are dirty from scratching every spot she couldn't reach herself. The crickets are loud and the moon is brighter then ever. Besides the crickets all I hear are the snoors coming from the barn dogs. I have almost forgotten about the elderly lady yelling at me about her frozen drink not having enough caramel (even though the fact she was over 300 pounds clearly meant she didn't need anymore) ohhh nix just stuck her tongue out at me. What was I saying? Ohhh right nothing else matters but this moment. Oops rambling again. Well time for me and my horse to get some sleep. Until tomorrow.. Goodnight :)
